This Sunday night, Eamonn introduces selections by classical guitarist Andrew York; vocalist Norma Winstone, from a 2014 release; part of Arvo Part's third symphony; solo jazz piano by Aaron Parks; English jazz trumpet-player Bryan Corbett; a modern adaptation of the Greek tragedy "Medea", with music scored by Eleni Karaindrou (see video); a blues and roots medley; Horace Parlan's "Love And Peace"; a brace of J.S. Bach; and the last of the week's recordings by Tim and Jeff Buckley.

Eamonn returns at the earlier than usual time of 9:45pm to present an organ symphony by Louis Vierne; Edinburgh’s Blueflint, performing its own “Mary”; Eliane Elias, from “Swept Away”; 2014 ECM releases by Arild Andersen and Tord Gustavsen (see video); part of a Beethoven cello sonata; a re-invention of Ravel’s “Pavane” by Vince Mendoza and the WDR Big Band; Aphex Twin material realised by keyboard-player Will Dutta; Cork trombone-player Paul Dunlea, directing the band for his own “Slightly”; Elgar’s “Serenade For Strings”; and more from the Buckleys, Jeff and Tim.
